Return & Refund Policy

We want you to be happy with your purchase. If for any reason you are not satisfied, our policy outlines the conditions under which you may return a product and receive a refund. This policy applies to all orders placed on ergolyx.com. It complements your legal rights (where applicable) and will be updated when necessary. Please contact us with any questions or clarifications.

Returns and Eligibility

  • Return Window: You may request a return within 14 days of delivery. This aligns with the minimum 14-day “cooling-off” period required in many jurisdictions. If local consumer protection laws grant a longer return period (for example, some EU countries or other regions may allow up to 30 days for cancellations), we will honor the longer timeframe.

  • Condition of Items: To be eligible, items must be unused, unopened, and in their original packaging. Returns for a change of mind are accepted only if the product and its packaging are completely intact. Opened or used items generally cannot be refunded unless they arrived damaged or defective.

  • No Exchanges or Credits: We offer refunds only to the original payment method. We do not provide exchanges, replacements, or store credit. If you received a defective or incorrect item, please see our Warranty & Claims policy or contact support for assistance (these situations are handled separately from change-of-mind returns).

  • Custom-made Desks: Custom-built desks (where you selected frame color, tabletop color, size, or other customization) are excluded from change-of-mind returns. Since these products are tailor-made for you, they cannot be resold as new. This exception is consistent with consumer laws that exempt personalized or made-to-order items from standard return rights.

  • Initiating a Return: Please contact our Customer Support team at support@ergolyx.com before returning any item. Include your order number and reason for return. Our team will confirm eligibility and provide you with any necessary return instructions or authorization.

Return Shipping

  • Customer Responsibility: You are responsible for the cost of return shipping (postage and insurance) unless we expressly offer a prepaid label. This is in line with general consumer law, which allows sellers to require customers to cover return shipping. We recommend using a trackable shipping service and obtaining proof of postage. Items lost or damaged in return transit are the customer’s responsibility.

  • Packaging: Please pack the item securely in its original packaging (including all accessories, manuals, and packing materials). Products must be returned in undamaged, resaleable condition. We may refuse or reduce a refund if the returned item shows signs of use, damage, or missing parts.

Refunds

  • Processing Time: Once we receive and inspect your return, we will process approved refunds within 14 days. Refunds will be issued to your original payment method (e.g. credit card, Stripe, PayPal). Please allow additional time for payment processors to post the funds to your account. (Stripe or PayPal transfers, for example, may take several business days after we issue the refund.)

  • Conditions: Refunds are granted only if the item meets our return criteria (unopened, unused, undamaged). If a returned item fails inspection (e.g. it was opened, used, or not in original condition), we will notify you and may refuse the refund or only partially refund the amount, depending on the issue.

  • No Restocking Fee: We do not charge any restocking or handling fees on approved returns (other than the return shipping cost noted above). The refund will equal the original purchase price of the item, excluding any shipping fees paid to us.

How to Initiate a Return

  1. Email Support: Contact us at support@ergolyx.com. Provide your name, order number, and reason for the return. We will reply with instructions and a return authorization if the return is approved.

  2. Prepare the Shipment: Carefully pack the item in its original box, include all original materials, and mark the return authorization number (if provided) on the package. Ship the package to the address we provide using a reputable carrier.

  3. Track Your Return: Use a shipping service with tracking and insurance. Keep your tracking number handy in case you need to verify delivery. We cannot issue a refund until we physically receive the return.

Please do not send any returns without contacting us first. Unsolicited returns may be refused or incur delays.

Non-Returnable Items

  • As noted above, custom-made desks are final sale.

  • Other non-returnable items include any goods explicitly marked “non-returnable” at the time of purchase.

  • In general, any product that is opened, used, altered, or not in its original condition is not eligible for a change-of-mind refund. (Exceptions apply if the item is defective or not as advertised – see your statutory rights below.)

Your Legal Rights

This policy is intended to comply with the consumer protection laws of the jurisdictions in which we operate. It does not limit or waive any rights you may have under applicable law. For example:

  • EU/UK: Customers have a statutory 14-day “cooling-off” period starting from the day of delivery. During this time, you may cancel and return most goods for any reason without penalty. As noted, custom or personalized products are exempt. In certain situations (such as off-premises or doorstep sales), some EU countries even extend the withdrawal period up to 30 days. We comply with these legal minimums.

  • United States: There is no federal law requiring returns on online purchases; retailers generally set their own return policies. We have adopted this policy voluntarily to be as fair as possible. However, the policy cannot override any specific state laws that may grant consumers additional rights (e.g. a longer return window on certain products).

  • Other Jurisdictions: Your local laws may impose additional requirements (such as longer mandatory return periods or specific consumer rights). Where a local law grants you broader rights than those stated here, that law will apply. If you are entitled to a statutory right of return or refund that is more favorable than our standard policy, we will honor your rights.
